How to TRANSFORM your business with social media – Part 8

with No Comments

Mushroom Souffle Social Media StrategyWe’re nearing the end of the series and it’s getting really exciting! This is when things start to feel real, because in this post we’re focusing on actually rolling out your campaign. Yes, it’s time to launch your social media campaign, get posting awesome content and sharing your expertise! Finally, you are about to step into the limelight on the social media stage!

Here’s a reminder of my TRANSFORM system:

T = Think

R = Relationships

A = Analyse

N = Need A Plan

S = Set It Up

F = Fresh, Fun information

O = Organisation

R = Roll It Out

M = Measure and Review

But if working through your social media on your own is too time consuming and challenging, simply get in touch for some magical Mushroom Soufflé social media training and mentoring! Much simpler.

R – roll it out! Launching your social media … into the spotlight!

So, you’ve read all the previous posts in the TRANSFORM series. Which means by now you should have:

  • Thought about what your social media should look like, how to incorporate your brand identity, and how it should all work
  • Relationships have been considered, as in finding your target audience and knowing how to build relationships with them
  • Analysed what your competitors on social media are up to, so that you know what you should be doing
  • Needs, goals and achievements have been planned and written into a solid strategy
  • Set up your social media channels and profiles
  • Fresh, fun information has been found, created and diarised into a document of interesting content
  • Organised your social media activity, found your preferred scheduling tool and got it all efficiently planned out
  • Rolling it out – what we’re focusing on today!
  • Measure and review – that’s for next time

Get the ball rolling!

Continuing Part 7’s theme of pretending you’re directing a movie or stage performance, now it’s time to pretend you are in the spotlight, standing there, centre stage. In fact, you are! Well, your business profiles are. So this is no time to be a shrinking violet!

Make conversation, get involved, if you’re planning on launching a new service or product then tell us, generate some excitement about it. Send out teaser tweets and posts. Tell everyone you are on social media! Colleagues, associates, clients, suppliers, family and friends. A great way to build your online presence is by communicating with those who already know you and the wonderful service or product that you provide.

Special offers for a limited period always go down well, especially on launch dates. Have a code that visitors to your website must quote when putting in their first order, or when visiting your premises for the first time. That code also makes it easy to measure the response rate.

Then start sharing all that valuable information you have in blog posts. Write about customers’ success stories, if applicable to your products or services. But be sure to check with them that they are happy to have their story told and a picture shown, of course!

Start conversations by posting comments about almost anything – like current affairs, or recent news events in your local area. See how many people get drawn into the conversation and how it evolves!

Hold competitions – with good prizes on offer, these always attract new followers! Share clever memes, fun pictures and information from other sources. All of which should already be on your schedule, of course!

But most importantly of all, enjoy it!

And keep doing it! Keep your business in people’s minds. Check your plan that you’ve created as discussed in Part 4, and ensure you’re posting regularly enough for each social media platform.
